Beacon catered our wedding, and we are so glad we chose them! We wanted a buffet for 75 people, simple but good food (with a somewhat constrained budget). Vicki understood exactly what we wanted, suggested a menu of buffet items, appetizers, and cupcakes, for a very reasonable cost. Of all the caterers that we checked out, they had by far the best tasting food and also the best prices. (Note that their catering menu, unlike their restaurant, is not at all limited to Asian food. They make delicious chicken, fish, pasta, etc.).

The food was phenomenal (we had lots of compliments from our guests, both for the appetizers passed around during cocktails and for the buffet dinner) and the service was very friendly, professional, calm, and flawless. Vicki is exceptionally nice and it was always pleasant to interact with her in the planning stages. We had heard that caterers often give a low first estimate and then tack on extra costs, but Vicki did the opposite, ultimately lowering the price a bit below the original estimate (which we had agreed to) because she apparently ended up with slightly reduced staffing needs. She was very receptive to our desires and did not try to push anything on us (for example when we talked about having a self-serve bar, though in the end we decided to have her servers be bartender and did not regret that decision).

We really could not have been more satisfied with their catering for our wedding!

Beacon an Asian café, the restaurant, is also awesome. Cool décor and delicious Asian food.

Beacon has been our “go-to” restaurant of choice for several years. Consistently excellent and innovative food, great wines, terrific hospitality! When we began planning our wedding, we had no idea they did catering.  Imagine!  We are so lucky they do.

Our experience with Beacon Catering was fantastic, and we are thrilled to have worked with them.  Everything about the experience was superlative.  Vicki spent loads of time with us, planning the menu, talking about what we wanted to create, how the food would work with the “vibe” of our wedding, service options, etc.  Her creativity, calm and care made the process fun.  The staff on-site were amazing; the perfect blend of professionalism and warm enthusiasm that helped make our wedding a moving ceremony and a VERY fun party.  They worked seamlessly with other vendors (rentals, florists, venue) to set up the space exactly the way we wanted it and more.  We were blown away when we saw what Jeffrey, Anita, and the rest of the staff had done with the set-up, linens, flatware, glasses, plates, menus etc.  They created a truly celebratory atmosphere that promised excellent hospitality, and their service fulfilled this promise.  And the food?  Somehow, Kazuto managed to outdo his “usual” extra-ordinary fare with food that was out of this world.  The hand-passed appetizers were wonderful hints of flavors to come, the sit-down dinner was phenomenal, and the bento box desserts were a huge hit.  Guests at our wedding still rave about the food we served, and we are so happy to hear this.  Working with Beacon was a wonderful send off to our lives together, and we thank you all for making our special day so exceptionally memorable.
